“Reflection” is a new painting that I just finished today. I haven’t painted anything representative (that wasn’t a portrait) in a very, very long time.
Expressive brushstrokes and bold colors are my trademark, and you can find it also in this new painting.
This would make a great gift for any Yoga enthusiast or a gymnast.
New Work - See the Light
I’m still suffering from my bout with Covid, leaving me unable to work currently in the studio.
I am using this forced period away from the easel to work on digital drawings, and finished last week this portrait, called “See the Light”.
Created in Procreate on my iPad Pro, using a mix of different techniques such as watercolor and ink brushes, layering and playing with opacity as well as a screen printing layer. So much fun!
I also made a timelapse video showing the whole process from rough pencil draft till finished painting. If I ever figure out how to add videos (le sigh), I’ll post the link here.
Wrapped in Friendship
A yearlong lovely friend of mine passed away recently. I never met Judy in person, but we’ve had so many conversations, that I considered her a dear friend. I feel heaviness, but I’m also so grateful for having known her.
In her memory, I created this new painting, which aims to celebrate all female friendships, no matter if online or in real life.
I was originally not planning to sell this, but as I had several people messaging me and ask about art prints, I decided to add it after all.
New: Calypso I and Calypso II
I’m in love with these two new pieces - abstract landscapes in teal, turquoise and blush pinks. Visible brushstrokes show lots of texture and the unusual color combination looks fresh and soothing.
Available as fine art prints - buy one or both for maximum impact. Canvas prints on request.
Down So Long
There comes a time when you realize you’ve been down too long. There is no turning the page, the only way out is to close the book.
“Down So Long”, Acrylics on woodboard, framed. 16x20” (SOLD)
Lost In Yesterday
This painting was inspired partly by Edward Hopper‘s paintings, and of course also influenced by our isolation situation during Covid. I so loved working on this painting, and hope the loneliness and emptiness that I envisioned is coming across.
Acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas, 24x36” (SOLD).
The Silent Voice
“The Silent Voice” is about falling down seven times and the decision to gather all your strength and get up for the eighth time.
It portrays the the moment between defeat and perseverance, that second when you hear that voice in your head urge you: “Stand up!”.
Acrylics on canvas, 18x24” (currently not for sale).
If you love, you will suffer. The only way to protect yourself against suffering is to protect yourself against love - and that is the greatest suffering of all, loneliness (- Peter Kreeft).
“Holding On” is the title of this new painting in my "Broken Hearts" series.
Acrylics on gallery-wrapped canvas, 18x24”. (Update: SOLD)
New: Tropical I and II
If you want to uplift your rooms and create that carefree, fresh summer vibe, my new paintings “Tropical I” and “Tropical II” are for you.
Buy a single print, or both for maximum impact.
The vibrant colors are an instant mood lifter! Find the new "Tropical" paintings in my Art Prints menu.
Beyond The Tears
You can see this painting in our exhibition of the Valle del Sur Art Guild (VDS), that takes place in many restaurants and cafes in the SF South Bay.
Our artist guild is California's South Silicon Valley premier association of visual artists and just a wonderful community for any emerging or established artist.
Acrylics on canvas, 18x24 inches (Update: SOLD during exhibition)
I Will Rise
This portrait was created in the In the summer of 2020, a few weeks after George Floyd, an unarmed black man, was murdered by a police officer who knelt on his neck.
I imagined my subject as a fierce yet vulnerable survivor. I love her strong stance and powerful presence.
“I Will Rise” is painted with acrylics on extra deep canvas, 24”x36”x2.5". (Update: SOLD)
Do you also have a color that is just "not you"? For me that is brown. I'm not even sure what it is about brown that I don't like, but I very rarely use it.
But there’s always the exception. I recently finished two pieces in a fluid, wispy style that include brown (and distressed gold leaf accents).
All my canvas prints are available in three variations: rolled for DIY framing, stretched/gallery wrapped, and stretched and professionally installed in an elegant floater frame.
My new "Enchanted" series in alcohol inks features a gorgeous color combination of graphite, deep magenta, blush pink, and sand.
Available separately or get all 4 pieces in this series as a bundle to create a showstopping gallery wall!
Available as archival pigment print or canvas print in either rolled (unmounted), stretched canvas or as printed canvas framed with a beautiful floater frame.

Everyone is working to adapt to a changing situation right now with the pandemic, and my art is no exception.
I’ve spent the pandemic and lockdown adjusting my creative process and focus more on expressionist portraits in non-traditional colors. I still do the occasional abstracts, but my heart is currently in these portraits.
Here is one example of the Broken Heart series, “Longing Soul”. Acrylics on canvas, 48x24 inches. (SOLD)
