We all love to spot new trends and look for fresh ideas. No matter if you’re an artist, a furniture painter on the search for the latest color trends, a creative maker that looks for DIY resources, or a decorator looking for unique styling ideas to make your own home beautiful.
Design inspiration is plentiful on the internet – there are literally thousands of interior blogs and lifestyle sites that can help you on the way, if you suffer a creative block or look for design inspiration.
But which blogs are worth your while? To help you on the way, I’ve carefully went through my bookmarked pages and put together for you a list of my personal favorites (in no particular order). These 10 blog sites not only provide creative ideas and interior design inspiration, but also buyer’s advice, DIY ideas and information that can make your next interior decorating project a bit less daunting.

Decor8 is certainly on the top of my list of design blogs. Launched back in 2004 by American author and stylist, Holly Becker. Decor8 was originally founded with the aim of reaching people with a passion for interior decorating. It consists of inspiring blogs on interior design, decorating tips, colour schemes, DIY advice and much more. Holly Becker has won numerous awards for her work and has hundreds of thousands of online followers.
More a lifestyle blog than focusing on interior design, Design*Sponge offers home tours, DIY projects, shopping guides, before & afters, recipes and so much more.
Old Brand New
I love blogger Dabito’s site, it’s overflowing with a creative use of color and a bohemian mix of modern and vintage pieces. A great blog to follow if you’re not only looking for interior trends, but also if you’re looking for innovative DIY projects and stylish photography.
Cassandra LaValle’s features interior design, tabletops, travel, food, and more in her blog, Coco Kelley. She has a glamour style and her blog covers is a great source for interior trends, aspirational wish lists, and beautiful images that always trigger my inspiration.
A colorful mix of design tips and inspiration on all aspects of your home décor and furniture. Elle Décor is one of the biggest design magazines and presents a collection of interesting facts, information and creative ideas for around the home. It’s one of my “go to” blog when I’m looking for inspiration.
Apartment 34 is a great resource to inspire every aspect of your live, from décor, fashion, entertaining, beauty, to travel and shopping. The interior featured in the “Decor” section is sorted by rooms, very carefully curated and features mainly a minimalistic style. I personally love this style and adore the featured decors.
Apartment Therapy is a home and decor blog that launched in 2001 and covers a wide range of topics around interior design, site, designed to inspire anyone to live a more beautiful and happy life at home.
A UK based page that offers numerous original style ideas for your home and decorating advice grouped by type of room. So it’s really easy to find for decorating ideas or advice for your specific problem. It also offers shopping guides, garden tips, project planning and practical ideas on space and flooring.
German born author Annie Kruse (now living in London) is the winner of the 2017 Amara Interior Blog Awards. She keeps readers up to date on the latest design and fashion trends as well as inspiring family living by helping young families maintain a stylish home. Her design aesthetics are simple, clean and modern.
Mad about the House
Blog by award winning journalist Kate Watson-Smyth, who’s been writing about property, interiors and design in national newspapers for the last 20 years. Here you find not only new design ideas, but also How-To’s, Buyer’s Guides and very real and practical ideas.
If you know me, than it’s no surprise that Kate’s aesthetics, which she calls Urban Glamour, speaks to me.
